About Me

Hi!

Christians and non-Christians happy web-surfing and blogging!

I'm Rev. Fr. Oliver L. Janohan, previously belong to the Diocese of Surigao but was transferred to the Diocese of Pagadian.

I have graduated my Seminary College majoring English and Philosophy at St. Paul University System Surigao - San Nicolas Campus, Surigao City Philippines under the auspices of Maradjao Magbalantay College Seminary on 2005.

After which, I have decided to proceed my education earning me a degree of Theology at Seminario Mayor de San Carlos, Mabolo, Cebu City, Philippines on 2010.

With the divine providence, I was ordained to the Holy Orders on December 13, 2012 at San Nicolas Cathedral by Most Rev. Antonieto D. Cabajog, DD as ordaining prelate. At the same church I served as Parochial Vicar, shortly after my assignment at Our Lady of the Pilar Parish, Pilar, Siargao Islands, Surigao del Norte.

Comes June 2015 I was informed of my new assignment, new Diocese, new environment and new challenges. The Diocese of Pagadian is my new home now. I am happy as assistant pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur.

Blogging did not come abruptly in my mind but just lately. It comes from an idea of honing my writing skills through jotting down my experiences which I started early on my formation years in the seminary. From simple and ordinary life experiences, I'm writing down compositions: essays, reflections, reviews and case studies answering the queries professors, friends, colleagues and parishioners are asking me. Their questions and sharing most often fascinated me. Later on, I've realized there are many people out there who have no opportunities to access the recollections, seminars and conventions I'm giving but have the greater chance to access the internet. I'm certainly sure they posit the same questions my audiences are asking. They also deserve an answer.

I have no other way of reaching out the majority of Christians who need serious catechism or non-Christians who are curious about Christianity, Catholicism in particular than by blogging. Through posting my meager yet careful research and simple thoughts of reflection I can share my experiences of God. Hoping this would enlighten them the same as I was heartened through thick and thin in life.

May this simple effort contribute to the well-being of my brethren and building up the Kingdom of God here on earth!

            Ad majorem, Dei gloriam!
